
Selling real estate requires that you be licensed with the Department of Commerce.
Real estate sales agent license requirements: you need to attend Course 1, 2 and 3 which consists of 90 hours of approved real estate education, pass an exam, and then apply for a license with a broker.
Real estate Brokers license requirements: you must attend a 30 hour Brokers Course, then take the Brokers exam and apply for your license within 1 year.

Course 1: 30 hours of class time covers the basic definitions of real estate, contracts, agency laws, fair housing and state statute.
License Exam Tutor: Runs the Friday after course 1. Be prepared for the exam!
Course 2: 30 hours of class time covers case studies, drafting contracts and creating opinions of value
Course 3: 30 hours of class time involves understanding closing a sale, architecture of buildings and land and financial lending
Each course is $250 and includes work books, text books, highlighters, pencils, coffee, tea, scratch paper, test questions and more. The License Exam Tutor class is included at no charge.
Broker

Brokers Course: 30 hours covers Independent Contractors/Employee laws, Agency, liability and protection and successful broker examples.
This course is $275 and includes workbooks, highlighters, pencils, coffee, tea, scratch paper, test questions and more. Attendance at License Exam Tutor is also no charge.
