Mike Brennan

Mike was licensed from May 1995 until February 2012. Mike taught at Kaplan for 11 years. He has taught pre-license and continuing education classes since 2003 in Minnesota, Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, Florida and Wisconsin. Mike's energy and enthusiasm keeps students engaged and alert. Mike became an investment property owner in 1993, which sparked his interest in real estate. Since then, Mike has worked in restoring/reselling houses, rentals and sales. Mike is involved with the Minnesota Board of REALTORS® and has volunteered for many committees, including Professional Standards, Nominating, Executive and the Board of Directors for the State Association of REALTORS®. Mike lives in St. Paul in an older Victorian house with his wife, their children, and two dogs.

Tim Gallivan 

Tim was born and raised in the Highland Park/Mac Groveland area where he attended Nativity grade school.  He graduated in 1967 from St. Thomas Academy.  Tim then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and is a Viet Nam vet.  He attended college in Indiana, studied restaurant management and returned home to work in his family’s restaurant business in downtown St. Paul. 

In 1978 Tim left the restaurant business and started his real estate career in White Bear Lake.  He worked as a sales agent for two years and then took a management job with an employment agency.  Tim returned to the real estate business in 1982 and started Gallivan Properties until 1984 when he returned to his previous firm in the Maplewood area.  Tim joined the companies management team in 1988 and took over operations of their Stillwater office in 1990.

Tim left management in 2000 and started teaching and has been in front of nearly every new person looking to become licensed in the State of Minnesota for their pre-license training.   Tim taught at Kaplan Professional Schools for 12 years. Tim returned his real estate license back to the State of Minnesota in 2012 to join a long-time friend and fellow trainer to start their own real estate pre & post licensing school called Mn. Realty School in St. Paul, Mn.

When away from real estate, Tim enjoys sports, music and community service.  He’s a member of the optimist Club and works yearly on the St. Patrick’s Day Festival.  Besides playing piano and guitar, he also describes himself as an “adequate” golfer.  Tim and his wife Carol have 2 children (Brian & Brent) and two lovely grandchildren (Reena & Riley).  Tim & Carol reside in Maplewood as they have for 35 years.

Zach Duckworth

Zach has been in the real estate business for a number of years while concurrently serving the National Guard. Having recently graduated with his Masters in Business, selling real estate and performing his Guard duties, Zach has recently found time to become a father. Zach brings real world experience to the classroom with relevant information, excellent illustrations and enthusiastic delivery. Sitting on several committees at the Minnesota Association of Realtors, Zach is tuned in to the industry very well. 

Erin Duckworth

Erin has been in the industry for over a decade. As a real estate professional, Erin is a consummate caring person with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and teaching. As an Instructor, she brings vital information in an easy to understand, fun manner. Erin has many years of experience in the training world and students love their "Mama Duck".  As an agent who's an expert in this local area, Erin not only brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the classroom when it comes to buying and selling traditional real estate in but she also has a vast knowledge of foreclosures and short sale transactions. In addition to being a licensed Broker in Minnesota, she also has her Wisconsin real estate license. When Erin is not working or spending time with her family she enjoys serving on several local and state real estate committees in order to stay abreast of the ever-changing real estate landscape.  

Lance Berwald

​Lance has been licensed since 1998. After graduating college, Lance pursued a career in professional athletics. After being recruited to the NBA and playing in the US, Lance got an offer to play ball in Europe where he did very well. Lance speaks multiple languages and is very well traveled. Lance came back to US and, like others in his family, got a license in real estate. Shortly, he became a Branch Vice President for a large firm and handled the position with grace and success. Lance moved to a sales position and form his own team which is very successful. Lance's experience and knowledge make him one of our students favorite instructors!

Bob Nicholson

Bob was licensed in 1984 and has many years of listing and selling real estate successfully. Bob held a few licenses including a builders license where he gained a big understanding of housing construction. Bob was a Branch Vice President for a large real estate in Wisconsin and Minnesota and is licensed in both states. Having started companies, managing sales agents, building houses and being involved with the Association of REALTORS, Bob brings a deep understanding of the complications of a real estate sale and how to solve. It's no wonder that students appreciate his depth of knowledge and his willingness to share. 

Larry Boatman

Larry has been involved in public speaking for many years. As a clergyman, Larry spoke to congregations of people. Desiring to help people in their pursuit of the American Dream of owning a house, Larry got his real estate license and has been a successful REALTOR for many years. Larry brings his experiences to the classroom with charm and an easy going manner. Our students rate Larry as tops in his field.  Larry is willing to share and experiences delight when others succeed.

David Meyer

David has been in education for decades. Having been a principal at a local school for many years, David is keenly adept at handling education from concept to delivery. He relishes his role as an educator. After many years of being in education (and educational design), David decided to branch out to real estate. He joined the #1 real estate in MN and has excelled in delivery fine customer care to his clients. David has been on radio broadcasts speaking on the topic of real estate and enjoys talking about real estate. It only seemed a natural fit for him to do real estate instruction. David brings his enthusiasm and personal flair to the classroom which students enjoy greatly. Whether drafting contracts, pricing a property or overcoming buyers objections, David brings his depth of knowledge and shares with his students.
